We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join the team working on Caseware IDEA, a mature Windows desktop application used by audit, accounting, and finance professionals around the world. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong quality engineering experience with hands-on automation development skills and the ability to improve how testing is designed, implemented, and integrated into delivery workflows.Our current automation approach uses Ranorex, and the new SDET will be expected to work with the existing framework while also evaluating its limitations. Where Ranorex remains the right tool, this person will help improve stability, coverage, maintainability, and execution speed. Where another approach is more appropriate, they will be expected to propose, prototype, and help implement practical alternatives that integrate with our current development and release flows, including GitHub-based collaboration and automation.Manual testing will remain an important part of the role. The SDET will support exploratory testing, feature validation, regression testing, release readiness, and investigation of complex product behavior where automation alone is not sufficient.
