🧭 About the Role

The Quality Assurance Responsible position offers the unique opportunity to contribute from the very beginning of the site start-up phase and to shape a culture of quality, reliability, and continuous improvement within Diehl Aviation Romania.

🔹Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the full compliance of the Quality Management System (QMS) with ISO 9001 / AS 9100 standards, customer quality requirements, and Diehl Aviation internal policies.
• Lead and coordinate internal and external audits, including process, system, and product audits, ensuring timely follow-up and closure of corrective actions.
• Manage and continuously improve quality processes and certification systems, ensuring alignment with aviation regulations and customer expectations.
• Analyze internal quality issues and customer complaints, conduct root cause analyses (8D methodology), and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Define, monitor, and optimize inspection and testing processes, ensuring consistent production and delivery quality.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and central quality teams to develop process maturity and ensure smooth certification and validation.
• Promote a strong quality culture across all levels of the organization, acting as a coach and ambassador for quality and continuous improvement.
• Provide training and guidance on quality assurance methods, reliability tools, and compliance requirements.
• Support and ensure the correct use of APQP methodology, including PCP, KCI, and FMEA processes.
• Supervise certification and validation of internally manufactured products (e.g., EASA Form 1 issuance).

🔹Essential Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical qualification.
• Willingness to relocate/travel to HUN/GER for initial training (90 days).
• 3–5 years of professional experience in Quality Management, ideally in the aerospace or highly regulated manufacturing industry.
• Proven knowledge and experience with SAP ERP systems.
• Strong understanding of AS 9100 aviation standard and air law regulations.
• Demonstrated experience in aerospace product manufacturing and quality control.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written) – 100%.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, customer-oriented mindset, and attention to detail.
• High level of integrity, accountability, and ability to work in cross-functional teams.

🔹Nice to Have

• Auditor qualification or practical experience in conducting audits (internal or external).
• Previous start-up or greenfield project experience in manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with advanced quality tools such as FMEA, APQP, KCI, or PCP.
• Intercultural competence and adaptability to a multinational environment.
• Empathy, teamwork orientation, and passion for continuous improvement.
• Motivation and engagement to grow in a newly established organization.
