QA Engineer (Manual & Automation) – VASS Romania

Overview

At VASS Romania, we are looking for a QA Engineer with experience in both manual and automated testing to join our international team. The role involves ensuring software quality across a variety of projects, including web, mobile (Android/iOS/hybrid), Android Automotive, backend services, and integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and document acceptance criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Design and create test cases based on functional specifications and identified risks.
• Ensure test coverage across different software and hardware variants, including devices, operating systems, vehicles, and configurations.
• Develop and maintain regression test suites.
• Contribute to and implement test automation strategies.
• Execute manual and automated test cases, ensuring accurate validation of requirements.
• Generate quality reports, dashboards, and metrics to track testing progress and product quality.
• Provide clear visibility of QA status through reports and data-driven insights.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives).

Requirements

• Proven experience in software testing (manual and/or automation)
• Strong understanding of test case design and QA methodologies
• Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban)
• Knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks
• Ability to analyze risks and translate them into test scenarios
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Fluent in English, spanish is a plus

Nice to Have

• Experience with Android Automotive or embedded systems
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
• Experience testing across multiple devices and environments
