Key Responsibilities
1. Coordination of the Quantity Surveying Department
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise all QS department activities.
- Assign tasks and define monthly deadlines for direct collaborators.
- Monitor team performance, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables.
2. Upstream Management (Client / Beneficiary)
- Prepare, compile, and submit monthly upstream work certifications to the Beneficiary.
- Ensure full alignment with contractual requirements, specifications, and project documentation.
- Support the Contract Manager in technical–contractual discussions with the Client.
3. Downstream Management (Subcontractors)
- Verify, validate, and certify subcontractor work progress and quantities.
- Manage downstream certification cycles and ensure proper contract application.
- Supervise monthly “passive SIL/SAL” processes and ensure correct accruals.
4. Variation Orders & Change Management
- Prepare and develop Variation Orders in cooperation with Technical, Planning and Project Management teams.
- Provide cost and schedule impact assessments (Cost & Time Impact).
- Support claim preparation and defense in line with contractual obligations.
5. Work Progress Control
- Issue the internal monthly progress report (SIL) for management review.
- Validate subcontractor progress and ensure alignment with site execution.
- Coordinate with the Planning Department to ensure consistency between progress and project schedules.
6. Economic Reporting & Cost Control Collaboration
- Work closely with Cost Control to prepare the Flash Monthly Report for technical/economic performance monitoring.
- Ensure accurate reconciliation of budget, actual costs, and forecasts.
- Provide analytical support to identify deviations and propose corrective actions.
7. Budgeting, Forecasting & Revenue Allocation
- Support the preparation of the project budget and periodic forecasts.
- Participate in revenue and cost redistribution activities according to the PoW (Program of Works) defined by Technical, Project Management, and Contract Management.
- Ensure correct allocation of quantities, progress, and financial values across the WBS.
