The R&D Manager position is one of them — created specifically to support the next stage of our development.
This is not a replacement hire. It's a new role, built around a real and growing need: as our IoT and Smart Home product lines scale, we need a dedicated leader who can own the operational side of R&D, protect the engineering team's focus, and be the connective tissue between development, clients, and production.

What makes this role different?
The person stepping into this role will have a direct impact on how Homplex organizes and scales its R&D function. They won't inherit a rigid structure — they'll help define it. From coordinating product development cycles to managing key client relationships and driving Go to Mass Production processes, this is a role with real scope and real visibility.
We're looking for someone who is energized by complexity, comfortable with ambiguity, and motivated by the idea of building something that lasts.
What You'll Do:
— Lead and coordinate the R&D team strategically and operationally, ensuring timely delivery of IoT and Smart Home projects;
— Act as the main interface between the R&D department, clients, and strategic partners, taking over the operational load from the technical team;
— Manage the full product lifecycle, from concept and simulation to prototype validation and Go to Mass Production readiness;
— Translate business needs and customer requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications;
— Coordinate technical implementations (such as AMR projects) and track deliverables, adapting solutions to fit specific client needs;
— Ensure seamless technology transfer to the assembly, programming, and production departments;
— Collaborate closely with Product Management, Sales, and Production to align technical capabilities with market demands;
— Drive effective project governance, including milestone tracking, reporting, and structured decision-making.
— Solid experience in managing complex technical projects and leading multidisciplinary R&D or engineering teams;
— Strong technical background in IoT, embedded systems, microcontrollers, and communication protocols (networking, servers, cloud);
— End-to-end understanding of the electronic product development and industrialization process;
— Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distill complex technical information for diverse stakeholders;
— Analytical thinking and a structured, problem-solving mindset;
— Fluent English (written and spoken) — required for international collaboration;
— Engineering degree (Electronics, Automation, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar);
— Experience managing external supplier relationships is a strong plus.
