We are looking for a commercially driven Regional Director of Sales to take ownership of our Romanian cluster — one of our most dynamic and fastest-growing markets. You will lead the sales agenda across a portfolio of five operating hotels and a growing pipeline, driving top-line revenue, securing key accounts and ensuring each property operates with a clear and effective commercial plan. The portfolio includes standout properties such as The Marmorosch Bucharest, Autograph Collection, Moxy Bucharest Old Town, Courtyard by Marriott Bucharest Floreasca, Hilton Garden Inn Bucharest Airport and Hilton Garden Inn Bucharest Old Town — with Hilton Garden Inn Brasov coming soon.
In this role, you will join Apex Alliance Hotel Management and work closely with our Group Commercial leadership and hotel General Managers, contributing to the overall commercial direction of the cluster. With a high level of autonomy, you will shape and execute the sales strategy across different brands and segments.
Scope

• End-to-end ownership of sales performance across the Romanian cluster (5 operating hotels + pipeline)

• Multi-brand portfolio spanning Marriott (Autograph Collection, Moxy, Courtyard) and Hilton (Hilton Garden Inn)

• All key commercial segments:

• Key account management and strategic partnership development at regional level

• Pre-opening commercial strategy, sales setup and business generation for new hotels

• Performance monitoring, KPI tracking and structured sales reporting across the cluster

• Commercial capability building and sales team development at property level

Core Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Performance

• Define and execute the sales strategy for the Romanian cluster in line with our Group commercial direction

• Set clear targets and action plans for each property — and make sure they actually get done

• Monitor performance versus budget, forecast and prior year; spot risks and opportunities early and act on them

• Drive revenue across all segments with a focus on profitable business mix and rate optimization

• Keep sales discipline sharp: pipeline management, structured reporting and accountability across all hotels

Key Accounts & Business Development

• Own and grow regional key accounts — corporate, MICE, travel trade and strategic partnerships

• Identify new business opportunities, negotiate major contracts and maximize long-term account value

• Be the face of our cluster in the market — build and maintain relationships with the people who matter

• Coordinate with hotel-level sales teams to ensure consistent account management and follow-through

Pre-Opening & New Hotels

• Lead the full commercial pre-opening process for new hotels in the cluster (next up: Hilton Garden Inn Brasov)

• Build the pre-opening commercial strategy from the ground up: target segments, key accounts, pricing, positioning

• Set up the sales structure and team; generate a real business pipeline ahead of opening day

• Support the hotel through launch and ramp-up until handover to the property-level Sales Leader

• Bring what we’ve learned from our existing hotels into every new opening — we don’t start from zero

Team Leadership & Development

• Coach and support hotel-level Directors of Sales and their teams to deliver results

• Help recruit, onboard and develop strong sales talent across the cluster

• Run regular performance reviews and keep everyone aligned with brand standards and market realities

• Build a culture of commercial focus, accountability and continuous improvement — we want people who push for more

Requirements

• 5–10+ years of hotel sales leadership experience, ideally across multiple properties

• A proven track record of driving commercial results across Corporate, MICE, Groups and Leisure

• Strong key account management skills — you know how to build, grow and protect strategic relationships

• Experience with hotel openings or repositioning projects is a strong advantage

• Solid understanding of revenue management principles and commercial analytics

• Hands-on and proactive — you combine big-picture thinking with day-to-day execution

• Willingness to travel across Romania and the wider region

• Experience in the Romanian hotel market is a strong advantage

• Language required: Romanian and English.
