We're looking for an experienced Engineering Team Lead to lead our engineering team, modernize our SaaS platform, and work directly with the CEO to shape the future of our product. This is an opportunity to combine technical excellence with leadership while making a significant impact in a fast-growing company.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing remote engineering team.
• Drive the migration of a legacy PHP/WHMCS platform to a modern web application.
• Balance approximately 50% hands-on coding with 50% engineering leadership.
• Define software architecture, coding standards, and engineering best practices.
• Conduct code reviews and provide technical coaching to developers.
• Translate product requirements into clear technical execution plans and ensure successful delivery.
• Leverage AI-powered development tools to improve engineering productivity while maintaining high-quality code.
• Collaborate closely with the CEO and Product team to shape technical strategy and product direction.

Requirements

• ✅ 6+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
• ✅ 3+ years of experience leading software engineering teams (4–30 engineers).
• ✅ Strong expertise in software architecture and scalable system design.
• ✅ Experience modernizing legacy applications.
• ✅ Strong backend and frontend development experience.
• ✅ Professional experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude, or similar.
• ✅ Excellent communication, mentoring, and leadership skills.
• ✅ Startup mindset with strong ownership, accountability, and product thinking.

Nice to Have

• Experience building and scaling SaaS products.
• Experience working closely with Product Managers and business stakeholders.
• Customer-first mindset with a passion for building great user experiences.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or other scalable cloud architectures.
