We are looking for a Senior Renewals Account Manager to join a short-term project focused on customer renewals, retention, and revenue growth.

About the Role - Renewals Account Manager


As a Renewals Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing the renewal of customer maintenance contracts within your assigned territory or segment. This includes preparing and providing quotes directly to customers and/or channel partners, ensuring a smooth renewal process, and maintaining a strong focus on customer retention and satisfaction.


The role is also focused on identifying upsell opportunities, add-on sales, premium services, and driving revenue growth through successful renewals and expansion.


What You’ll Do


  • Manage the full renewal cycle for customer maintenance contracts within the assigned territory or segment
  • Be responsible for achieving and overachieving quota tied to renewal and expansion goals
  • Monitor the pipeline of expiring agreements and take timely action to ensure contract continuation
  • Remove obstacles to renewal and ensure customer retention and satisfaction
  • Provide accurate and timely proposals and quotes in line with customer and/or partner agreements
  • Handle customer and partner inquiries related to quotes, pricing, co-terming, upselling, and reinstatement of maintenance contracts
  • Cold call customers with lapsed support agreements, with the goal of reactivating support
  • Identify and pursue maintenance reinstatement opportunities
  • Assist in the negotiation of maintenance agreements
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales and other internal teams to support customer retention and prepare non-standard quotes when needed
  • Collaborate with customers, channel partners, and internal stakeholders
  • Focus on customer retention, renewal rate, and high-velocity selling
  • Support channel partners in successfully closing renewals and additional licenses
  • Accurately record all activities in the CRM system
  • Maintain impeccable Salesforce hygiene
  • Manage inbound renewal inquiries through different renewal portals
  • Prioritize workload to meet KPIs, goals, objectives, and daily/weekly SLAs
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings


What You’ll Bring


  • 6–10 years of experience in Sales, Business Development, Lead Generation, Account Management, Renewals, or a similar commercial role
  • Experience with customer renewals, retention, upselling, and/or contract management
  • Strong customer service and relationship management skills
  • Advanced English language skills
  • Additional advanced language skills relevant to the assigned territory would be considered a plus
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and quotas
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and semi-autonomous environment
  • High-energy, self-motivated approach with confidence in handling a high volume of email communication and outbound calls
  • Experience compiling, querying, analyzing, and reporting data
  • Experience working with CRM systems; Salesforce experience is highly desirable
  • Basic knowledge of the virtualization, software, or IT industry would be considered an advantage
