Job Opportunity
D.B. Group Romania is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Manager to support the company’s sales activities in in Cluj-Napoca. This role is ideal for a proactive sales professional with a strong commercial mindset, proven experience in freight forwarding, and excellent relationship-building skills within the Romanian and regional market.
Main Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities in the Romanian market;
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing customers;
- Promote D.B. Group’s solutions, including international freight forwarding (FCL/LCL, road, air, rail), multimodal transport, customs clearance, warehousing, and integrated logistics services;
- Understand clients’ supply chain needs and provide customized, value-added logistics solutions;
- Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets through proactive prospecting, client visits, and account development;
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities within the Romanian and Eastern European logistics market;
- Analyze pricing structures and service offerings to ensure competitive positioning;
- Collaborate with management and internal teams to define and implement effective sales strategies;
- Work closely with D.B. Group network, overseas agents, carriers, transport partners, and internal operational teams to ensure high service quality and customer satisfaction;
- Act as a key commercial contact for customers, supporting them throughout the sales cycle and addressing service-related issues;
- Represent D.B. Group Romania at industry events, trade fairs, and networking activities.
Key Competencies
- Minimum 3 years of experience in sales within freight forwarding or logistics;
- Solid knowledge of international freight forwarding and logistics operations;
- Proven ability to negotiate, close deals, and manage complex customer portfolios;
- Strong communication and presentation skills;
- Ability to work independently in a target-driven, fast-paced environment;
- Willingness to travel within Romania and occasionally internationally.
Languages
- Knowledge of Romanian is required;
- Fluency in English;
- Additional languages are a plus.
