TasksWe are looking for a Senior SAP BTP CAP Cloud Developer to design, build, and maintain cloud-native applications on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). The role focuses on hands-on development using the CAP model, strong usage of BTP services, and building scalable, secure solutions integrated with SAP systems.Development and maintenance of cloud-native applications on SAP BTP using CAP (Cloud Application Programming) modelDesign and build services using CAP (Node.js) following clean core and side-by-side extensibility principlesModel data and services using CDS (Core Data Services), including entities, associations, and annotationsDefine application structure (layered architecture), and design reusable service componentsCreate and expose OData (V4) and REST services for frontend and external consumptionWork closely with frontend teams to provide optimized services for SAP Fiori/UI5 applicationsExtend and enhance existing CAP applicationsSAP BTP ServicesConfigure and use SAP BTP services such as Destination, Connectivity, XSUAA, Job Scheduling, and HANA CloudImplement secure connectivity to on-premise systems using Cloud ConnectorManage service instances, bindings, and environment configurations within BTPWork with SAP HANA Cloud (HDI containers, data modeling, queries, performance tuning)Deploy and manage applications in Cloud Foundry (Kyma is a plus)DevOps & OperationsMonitor applications using logging, tracing, and alerting services in SAP BTPTroubleshoot and debug CAP applications and BTP integrationsEnsure application performance, scalability, and reliabilityCollaboration & DeliveryWork closely with functional consultants and business users to understand requirementsTranslate business requirements into technical solutionsPropose alternative technical approaches where appropriatePerform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practicesContribute to technical documentation Qualifications5+ years of experience in SAP DevelopmentStrong hands-on experience with SAP BTP and CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model)Proficiency in Node.jsExperience with CDS and OData servicesExperience with SAP HANA / SAP HANA CloudKnowledge of SAP BTP services (XSUAA, Destination, Connectivity, etc.)Things to know before departure:Start: by arrangement - always on the 1st and 15th of the monthWorking hours: full-time ( 40h); 27 vacation daysEmployment contract: UnlimitedLine of work: ConsultingLanguage skills: Fluency in written and spoken English, and German nice to haveFlexibility & willingness to travelOther: a valid work permit Show more Show less
