What are we looking for

We’re looking for a Security Researcher with the soul of a systems engineer — someone who builds, not breaks.

This role is part of a forward-looking research team focused on creating the next generation of security building blocks — foundational technologies and primitives that will underpin secure systems for years to come. The ideal candidate blends strong software engineering skills, deep systems knowledge, and a security-first mindset to architect and prototype solutions from the ground up.

What you’ ll be doing

You’re a builder who thinks like a researcher — you don’t just want to understand how systems work, you want to reimagine how they should work securely. You have a combination of the following skill sets:

• Security by Design: You don’t hunt for CVEs. Instead, you proactively design primitives that eliminate whole classes of vulnerabilities.
• Systems-Oriented: Comfortable navigating from kernel-space to user-space, across embedded devices, Linux internals, hypervisors, or network stacks. OS-level thinking is second nature.
• Networking Expertise: Deep familiarity with how networks actually work — from low-level packet handling and protocol design (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP, QUIC) to secure communications and custom stacks, cryptographic protocols (TLS, IPSec, Wireguard)
• Strong Development expertise: You write clean, efficient code in C, C++, or Rust. You're comfortable with systems programming, debugging, and performance optimization. You understand how software interacts with hardware.

What you’ll need to know/have

• Built or contributed to secure-by-design systems (e.g., secure boot chains, trusted computing, memory safety frameworks).
• Worked on embedded security, firmware hardening, or trusted execution environments.
• Experience with isolation primitives: sandboxes, hypervisors, containers, etc.
• Familiar with cryptographic libraries or protocol implementations (even better if you’ve written one).
• Past roles in R&D environments, security architecture, or deep systems engineering.
• Prior involvement in the creation of platform security features — not just analysis or red teaming.
• Experience in research activities
