Requirements

University degree in Economics (Accounting, Finance, Banks) or related fields;
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in accounting (for Senior Accountant position) OR professional experience in an Accounting Manager/Finance Manager role (for Accounting Manager position);
Knowledge of local GAAP and relevant legislation;
Strong knowledge of Romanian tax environment (required for Accounting Manager position);
Very good command of English (required for Accounting Manager position; considered a plus for Senior Accountant);
Good skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word);
Professional accounting qualification (CECCAR/ACCA/ACA) – considered a plus;
Detail oriented, organized, with strong problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines;
Team-working skills, with experience in supervising and developing staff (junior staff for Senior Accountant / more experienced staff for Accounting Manager).

Responsibilities

Ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions;
Support clients’ accounting compliance (assets, liabilities, revenues, expenses, inventories, fixed assets, cash and bank transactions, accruals etc.);
Prepare monthly account reconciliations, financial statements and support monthly/quarterly/year-end closing processes;
Prepare and/or review monthly tax returns and corporate reporting requirements;
Safeguard the financial integrity of the company’s books and records;
Analyze financial information to recommend improvements and provide strategic recommendations (with a stronger focus for the Accounting Manager position);
Oversee and/or coordinate cash management, accounts payable and receivable processes;
Assist with financial audits performed by tax authorities and maintain contacts with public institutions involved (mainly Fiscal Administration);
Lead and develop the accounting team (with team leadership responsibilities expected for the Accounting Manager position).
