At DevsReady, we design and build digital products that solve real-world problems. We’re looking for a Senior Android Engineer who can drive architecture, delivery, and technical excellence using modern Android technologies.

In this role, you’ll work closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to build scalable, high-performance mobile applications. You’ll play a key role in shaping technical decisions, improving code quality, and ensuring best practices across the Android development lifecycle — with a strong focus on Jetpack Compose and MVVM/MVI architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, maintainable Android architectures using modern best practices
• Develop high-quality mobile applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
• Apply MVVM/MVI patterns to ensure clean, testable, and modular codebases
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver end-to-end features
• Break down product requirements into technical tasks and provide accurate estimations
• Optimize app performance, including memory usage, responsiveness, and network efficiency
• Implement and maintain robust API integrations
• Ensure code quality through code reviews, testing, and adherence to best practices
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and manage release processes
• Identify and resolve technical blockers, proposing effective solutions
• Stay up to date with the Android ecosystem and continuously improve development standards
• Support team members through knowledge sharing, mentoring, and technical guidance

Technical Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Android development with strong Kotlin expertise
• Solid understanding of OOP principles, SOLID, and Clean Architecture
• Proven experience implementing MVVM and/or MVI architectures
• Strong hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose
• Advanced knowledge of Coroutines and Flow (StateFlow, SharedFlow)
• Experience with modularized architectures and reusable components
• Solid experience with API integrations (e.g., Retrofit, OkHttp)
• Strong understanding of caching strategies and performance optimization
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and release workflows
• At least one published application on the Google Play Store
• Strong debugging skills and understanding of Android lifecycle
• Proficiency with Git and code review practices
• Good collaboration and communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Knowledge of mobile app security (authentication, encryption, common vulnerabilities)

Nice to Have

• Experience with unit and UI testing
• Familiarity with cross-platform technologies (React Native, Flutter, or KMP)
• Experience with performance profiling and optimization tools
• Experience managing app releases (Google Play Store, Huawei AppGallery)
• Ability to drive architectural decisions and technical direction
• Proactive mindset in refactoring and improving existing systems
• Experience mentoring or supporting other engineers
