WHO WE ARE:

Within GP&TPM (Group Procurement & Third Parties Management), Group Procurement manages and optimizes the purchasing of products and services to rationalize costs across the entire UniCredit Group (UCG).

The main responsibilities include:

• Strategy Definition and Sourcing: Supporting legal entities in defining a single vision for the purchasing function, promoting and implementing category strategies, and purchasing goods and services by leveraging economies of scale to maximize group synergies.
• Demand Management and Negotiation: Managing purchase demands from clients (digital and non-digital), scouting the market, negotiating contracts, and conducting tenders to ensure competitive conditions.
• Support and Optimization: Offering clients innovative solutions based on market knowledge to optimize costs, maintaining and managing internal processes for continuous improvement, and supporting buyers and suppliers in sourcing and qualification activities.

Within GP&TPM, Procurement is responsible for:

• managing the relationship with the suppliers and goods/service recipients, in order to drive operational excellence and savings, guaranteeing the Service Level Agreement (time-to-order);
• managing purchase requisitions for all UniCredit Legal Entities in scope ensuring they are aligned to overall Procurement Strategy;
• standardizing the process for transactional purchasing;
• performing the procure-to-order process (direct engagement, tender) for good and services;
• supervising the vendor qualification process;
• support other team members.

What will you be doing in this role?

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring contractual compliance, cost efficiency, and innovation across the assigned category. This position is critical in supporting the company's digital transformation, risk mitigation, and cost optimization goals and will manage the end-to-end purchasing lifecycle across all UniCredit entities.

Main responsibilities:

• Purchasing & Negotiation: Executing timely purchases of goods and services while ensuring optimal cost, quality, and time metrics; leading contract negotiations to secure favorable terms, compliance, and performance improvements fully aligned with Category Strategy;
• Efficiency & Strategy Support: Ensuring highly efficient purchasing processes by delivering agile solutions and best practices; developing and supporting category strategy through data provision;
• Collaboration & Compliance: Cooperating with business owners to manage correct workflows; collaborating cross-departmentally (Finance, Legal, Compliance, Risk Management, etc.) for contract reviews and issue resolution; supporting internal clients throughout the source-to-pay process and managing escalations;
• Administration & Documentation: Maintaining accurate records, digitally archiving and tracking contracts in company repositories (Ariba, Palantir, etc.), and managing issues hindering contract signatures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management or related field; Master’s degree or relevant certifications as a plus;
• 5+ years of procurement experience, preferably in direct categories within a multinational environment;
• Italian (C1), English (C1).
• Good/Proficient usage of Excel, PowerPoint; Bring IA into the processes is a plus;
• Proficiency in procurement tools: e.g., SAP suite and Ariba;
• Persuasion, Effective Communication and Negotiation skills;
• Detail oriented, Problem solving and Analytical thinking;
• Conflict and Stakeholder Management and ability to mediate competing interests;
• Time Management and Prioritization;
• Managerial experience is a plus;
• Great willingness to learn and to use previous experience/background to improve current processes;
• Curiosity and passion.
