We’re currently expanding our network and looking for experienced

Data Engineers

for various ongoing and upcoming freelance projects with German clients.

These projects involve modern data stacks, cloud environments, and collaboration within cross-functional international teams.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes
• Integrate multiple data sources and ensure data reliability and quality
• Build and optimize data models and warehouse structures
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and software developers
• Ensure data security, governance, and compliance (GDPR)
• Drive continuous improvement through automation and performance tuning

Your Profile

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer (freelance or employed)
• Excellent knowledge of SQL, Python, and frameworks such as Airflow, DBT, or Spark
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP (data & analytics services)
• Understanding of data warehousing, data lakes, and streaming architectures
• Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented work style

Languages

• English: fluent (working proficiency required)
• German: a strong advantage – some projects require it

Collaboration & Terms

• Contract type: Freelance / B2B (long-term collaboration preferred)
• Location: Remote from EEA (occasional workshops in Germany possible)
• Start date: as agreed / flexible
