About the Role As a Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, supporting application delivery, improving infrastructure reliability, and driving the adoption of modern DevOps and observability practices. You will work closely with development and engineering teams, contributing not only to infrastructure-related activities but also to application-level troubleshooting and technical improvements. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and GitLab CI, including mobile application delivery with Fastlane.Build, maintain, and optimize Docker-based development and deployment environments.Support and promote the adoption of DevOps tools and practices across engineering teams.Implement and maintain monitoring, observability, and logging solutions using technologies such as: Prometheus, Grafana, OpenSearch, and OpenTelemetry (OTEL).Configure and maintain reverse proxy solutions, including Nginx and Traefik.Work with Kubernetes and Helm to support container orchestration and application deployments.Contribute to the design and maintenance of secure infrastructure, including secrets management, encryption, and identity-related security mechanisms.Design, troubleshoot, and maintain complex network infrastructures, including VPNs, firewall rules, and network connectivity.Educate engineering teams on relevant technologies, infrastructure best practices, and observability concepts.Contribute to infrastructure modernization and cloud migration initiatives when applicable.Support the implementation of reliable and secure infrastructure practices within a regulated environment.Requirements 3+ years of hands-on experience with GitLab and GitLab CI, including mobile apps delivery (Fastlane). Excellent Docker fluency (3+ years of experience). Familiarity with, and willingness to educate teams and drive adoption of the following concepts and tools: Docker, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenSearch, Nginx/Traefik as reverse proxies, Observability, OTEL integration, Kubernetes/Helm.Deep familiarity with cybersecurity and encryption concepts (PKI, strong cryptography, JWK(S)/JWT, secrets management, etc.). Does not shy away from looking into the application code as a part of the team (PHP & Apache/Ruby & Puma). Fluency in understanding, designing, and maintaining complicated network setups, VPN networking, and firewall rules. Nice to HaveFamiliarity with Zabbix.Experience working in a regulated organization.AWS or other cloud provider experience, especially if the candidate has previously migrated on-premises projects (lift & shift and/or cloud re-architecting).Basic+ German language proficiency.
