About The Role
We're seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to lead our DevOps function and scale infrastructure supporting 1 million+ active users. You'll own the performance, reliability, and evolution of our AWS-based infrastructure while building and mentoring a high-performing DevOps team. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll split time between architecture decisions, implementation work, and team development.

• ECS with Fargate for containerized workloads
• RDS for managed databases
• Auto Scaling for dynamic capacity management
• SQS, SNS, and EventBridge for event-driven architecture
  

Infrastructure & Deployment:

• Terraform for Infrastructure as Code
• GitHub Actions for CI/CD
• CloudWatch for monitoring and observability (potential migration to Datadog)
• Kubernetes/EKS (planned migration)
  

What We're Looking For
Required:

• 5+ years of DevOps/Infrastructure engineering experience
• Proven experience managing infrastructure for applications with millions active users
• Expert-level knowledge of AWS services, particularly Lambda, ECS/Fargate, RDS, SQS, SNS, and EventBridge
• Strong proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure as code
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions
• Deep understanding of performance monitoring, optimization, and troubleshooting at scale
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies
• Kubernetes knowledge and experience (EKS experience is a plus)
• Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks
• Experience with on-call responsibilities and incident management
  

Nice to Have:

• Scripting experience with Python, Node.js, or similar languages
• Experience with Kafka and or RabbitMq
• Experience with Datadog or other advanced observability platforms
• Background in cost optimization strategies for high-traffic applications
• Experience with blue/green or canary deployment strategies
• Knowledge of GitOps practices
