Senior Digital Consultant – Project Delivery

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Digital Consultant with expertise in Smart Buildings & Smart Cities to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in smart buildings and cities technology, building solution architecture and schematic diagrams, data strategy, project management, and a deep understanding of emerging technologies and digital concepts within the built environment.

As a Principal/Senior Digital Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing complex digital projects. You will be responsible for designing and delivering innovative digital solutions for Smart Cities and Buildings.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the design and implementation of smart cities & building solutions, leveraging a wide variety of technologies to enhance building efficiency and functionality.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand specific requirements and tailor smart cities & buildings designs to meet their needs.
• Developed high level data strategy, management and governance frameworks for complex digital solutions.
• Integrate core systems such as lighting, security cameras, alarms, sensors, and control systems to create a cohesive and intelligent building environment.
• Utilize Internet of Things (IoT) devices including sensors, actuators, microchips, and software to collect data and improve building operations.
• Ensure seamless integration of smart cities & buildings technologies with existing building systems, optimizing performance and functionality.
• Drive innovation in smart cities & buildings design by staying updated on emerging technologies and best practices in the field.
• Provide expertise and guidance on the selection and implementation of smart cities & buildings technologies to achieve desired outcomes.
• Lead end-to-end project management efforts, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and at the required level of quality.
• Define project scopes, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with clients and internal teams.
• Work closely with internal and external teams to set priorities, allocate resources, and ensure seamless project execution.
• Collaborate across the business to leverage WSP's well-established engineering capabilities and drive innovation across projects.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science or related field.
• Minimum of 8-9 years of experience in Smart Buildings and/or Smart Cities, digital solutions design, IoT systems, and with at least 3 years of specialized experience in emerging technologies such as Digital Twins and/or AI.
• Experience with data integration for complex digital projects.
• Proficiency in data cleaning and validation techniques.
• Familiarity with data strategy, management, governance, and analysis methods (including statistical analysis and multivariate techniques).
• Experience with spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel) and database software (e.g., NoSQL, SQL, Access, or similar).
• Proficiency in PowerPoint with a keen eye for design.
• Excellent project management and technical delivery skills, with a drive for excellence.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across geographies and cultures.
• Innovative and forward-thinking mindset, with a passion for driving growth and unlocking opportunities for clients.
• Proven track record of managing complex projects at scale and delivering high-quality outputs.
• Ability to work with agility and adapt to changing client needs.
