The person in this role will conduct economic research and analysis to support client business decisions and internal strategic initiatives. Daily responsibilities include assessing macroeconomic trends, interpreting economic and statistical data, preparing forecasts, and developing evidence-based recommendations for entrepreneurs and internal stakeholders. The Senior Economist will collaborate with financial, tax, and legal experts to integrate economic insights into client advisory projects, prepare reports and presentations, and communicate complex findings in clear, practical terms. This role also involves monitoring regulatory and market developments and contributing to thought leadership materials such as briefs, articles, and client updates.Qualifications Strong foundation in Economics and Macroeconomics, with the ability to apply theory to real-world business challenges.Proficiency in Economic Research and Statistics, including data collection, modeling, and interpretation.Advanced Analytical Skills for evaluating trends, assessing risks, and developing clear, data-driven recommendations.Experience using statistical and econometric tools (e.g., Excel, R, Stata, or similar) to analyze complex datasets.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex economic concepts to non-specialist audiences.Master’s degree or PhD in Economics, Finance, or a related field preferred, along with several years of relevant professional experience.Ability to work on-site in Iași, Romania, collaborate in cross-disciplinary teams, and manage multiple projects and deadlines.Experience in advisory, consulting, or financial services and familiarity with Romanian and EU economic and regulatory environments are advantageous.
