Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Electrical Design Engineer, based in Bucharest–Ilfov. The Electrical Design Engineer will develop electrical design documentation for large-scale projects — corporate offices, retail, healthcare, industrial, and critical infrastructure — contributing from the proposal stage through execution design and site handover.

The role involves preparing single-line diagrams, power and lighting layouts, cable routing and sizing calculations, and panel/switchboard schematics for low voltage and automation systems.

The Electrical Design Engineer will coordinate closely with the BMS, security, fire, and IT infrastructure teams to ensure electrical designs are correct, code-compliant, and aligned with project specifications, and will support the sales team with accurate technical solutions during the bidding phase.

Qualifications

• Technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related field
• ANRE Grade II A authorization (design of low-voltage electrical installations) — mandatory
• Prior experience in electrical design for buildings or low voltage/automation projects (3–5 years minimum)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, Revit MEP, or equivalent design software
• Working knowledge of electrical standards and load/cable sizing calculations
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, automation, and mechanical schematics
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, able to work both independently and within a team
• Category B driving licence
• Experience with EPLAN or panel-building design tools is considered an advantage
• Knowledge of energy efficiency principles / Certified Energy Manager (CEM) is a plus
• Familiarity with low voltage systems integration (BMS, security, fire, IT infrastructure) is a plus
• Technical-level English is required
