Full-Stack Developer (SAP BTP / CAP) (AURA Product)Position OverviewWe are seeking a Full-Stack Developer to join our product team and contribute to the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade applications built on the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). The ideal candidate combines strong backend development expertise with solid frontend development capabilities and thrives in an Agile, fast-paced product environment.You will work closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, Architects, and fellow Engineers to deliver high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions while supporting quarterly product releases.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain full-stack applications based on engineering specifications, business requirements, and UX designs.Implement user stories within agreed sprint timelines while ensuring adherence to quality and architectural standards.Develop backend services using Java, Spring Framework, and SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP).Build and maintain frontend applications using modern web technologies, including SAP UI5/Fiori where applicable.Write and maintain comprehensive unit, integration, and automated tests to ensure application quality and reliability.Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.Provide realistic effort estimations and proactively identify technical risks and dependencies.Perform code reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and engineering excellence.Raise pull requests with clear documentation and respond promptly to review feedback.Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve defects identified during development, testing, and production support activities.Collaborate closely with UX designers to evaluate feasibility and propose technical alternatives when required.Support application deployments, monitor system health, and ensure successful releases across environments.Document technical decisions, configuration procedures, solution architectures, and reusable implementation patterns.Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and help establish development best practices across the team.Required QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.3+ years of professional software development experience (Senior profiles typically require 5+ years).Strong programming skills in Java and the Spring Framework.Hands-on experience with SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP).Experience developing and deploying applications on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).Solid understanding of Cloud Foundry environments and deployment processes.Experience with Node.js and modern JavaScript development.Knowledge of SAP UI5 and SAP Fiori application development.Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and object-oriented programming principles.Experience with Git-based development workflows and version control best practices.Experience with SAP Fiori Freestyle development.Exposure to AI-enabled applications or prompt engineering concepts.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.Experience with Maven and modern development toolchains.Knowledge of automated testing, quality assurance methodologies, and code review processes.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Fluent English, both written and spoken.Preferred QualificationsExperience working in Agile environments using Scrum or Kanban methodologies.Familiarity with microservices architecture and cloud-native application development.Experience integrating SAP and non-SAP systems through APIs and services.Technical Skills SummaryMust-HaveJavaSpring FrameworkSAP CAPSAP BTPCloud FoundryNode.jsSAP UI5GitCI/CDMavenAgile DevelopmentSAP Fiori FreestyleAI/Prompt Engineering ExposureNice-to-HaveMicroservices ArchitectureAdvanced DevOps Practices Show more Show less
