🚀 Senior IT Business Analyst

📍 Hybrid Role – 2 Days/Week in the Office

We are looking for an experienced Senior IT Business Analyst to join a dynamic team delivering innovative solutions within the banking sector. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bridging the gap between business and technology, translating complex requirements into scalable solutions, and collaborating closely with Agile delivery teams.

What You'll Be Doing

• Analyze and document business requirements for complex IT solutions and digital transformation initiatives.
• Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications.
• Create, refine, and manage user stories for both front-end and back-end development teams.
• Design and optimize business processes, supporting target-state solution architecture.
• Define API requirements, data mappings, and backend specifications.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Project Managers, Architects, and Software Engineers throughout the solution lifecycle.
• Produce process and solution documentation using BPMN, Use Case Diagrams, Flowcharts, Data Flow Diagrams, and State Diagrams.
• Support roadmap planning and successful implementation of new business capabilities.
• Develop test scenarios and contribute to Test-Driven Development practices.
• Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure successful solution delivery.

What We're Looking For

✔ Strong experience in Requirements Engineering or Business Analysis within large-scale IT environments.

✔ Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum teams alongside software engineers.

✔ Extensive experience creating detailed User Stories, functional specifications, and solution concepts.

✔ Solid understanding of Retail Banking IT, including digital channels and customer-facing applications.

✔ Experience with:

• API design and Swagger/OpenAPI specifications
• API testing tools such as Postman or Bruno
• Data mapping and backend requirements
• System integrations based on data-driven APIs

✔ Strong knowledge of business and system modeling techniques, including:

• BPMN
• Use Case Diagrams
• Flowcharts
• Data Flow Diagrams
• State Diagrams

✔ Experience creating test scenarios and supporting quality assurance activities.

✔ Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

✔ Fluent English (written and spoken).

Nice to Have

• German language skills (B1+)
• Previous software development or coding experience
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) knowledge
