US timezone sync up and time availability with ET timezone is required, excellent command of english language is preferred.

We are seeking a Software Engineer who is ready to design, build, and deploy production-grade APIs and services within a microservices/serverless architecture. Our ideal candidate has experience developing robust backend solutions with Java, is comfortable with cloud infrastructure (AWS), and is focused on the company’s success and platform performance.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• A Bachelor of Computer Science, related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience using modern frameworks and tools (Java).
• Relevant development experience with Java.
• Relational database experience (e.g. PostgreSQL).
• Proven experience designing and deploying solutions on AWS.
• Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) such as S3, SQS, ECS, EC2, and Lambda would be preferable.
• A background in CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Hands-on experience with microservices or serverless architectures.
• Proficiency with Git.
• Proficiency with spoken and written English.

Key Objectives:

• Design, build, and deploy production-grade APIs and services within a microservices/serverless architecture.
• Own your code from design to deployment, ensuring scalability, security, and performance at every step.
• Automate testing and delivery through robust unit, integration, and performance tests.
• Develop clean, maintainable, and production hardened code.
• Drive continuous improvement through Agile ceremonies and best practices.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, researchers, and operations teams to translate ideas into production-ready features.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and help drive continuous improvement.
• Design, build, and deploy production-grade APIs and services on AWS.
• Work primarily in Java with microservices/serverless architecture.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, researchers, and operations teams.
• Document your work clearly for internal stakeholders and external developers consuming our public APIs.
• Automate testing and delivery through robust unit, integration, and performance tests.
• Maintain and develop new features focused on scalability, security, and performance.
