As a Senior Software Developer in the Trados Studio engineering team, you will take ownership of complex feature development and technical problem-solving across one of the world's leading desktop translation productivity platforms. Working within a collaborative, agile team, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality software across a modern yet established C# codebase, helping to raise engineering standards while growing into broader technical leadership responsibilities.

This role is offered on a hybrid/remote basis (Romania), with flexibility to work remotely while staying closely connected with a distributed team across multiple European locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain features across the Trados Studio desktop application and its integration points with cloud services and translation memory systems
• Contribute to code quality and test coverage improvement initiatives, including unit and integration testing against an evolving codebase
• Participate actively in sprint ceremonies and backlog refinement, bringing technical insight to estimation and prioritisation discussions
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, architects, and QA to deliver well-defined, well-tested software increments
• Conduct and participate in code reviews, promoting best practices and consistent standards across the team
• Provide technical mentoring and support to more junior team members
• Contribute to technical documentation and help shape the team's approach to engineering improvements

Skills & Experience

• Solid commercial experience in C# and .NET development, with a strong foundation in object-oriented design
• Experience working on complex, established codebases with an appreciation for balancing pragmatism with quality
• Familiarity with unit testing frameworks and a genuine commitment to improving test coverage
• Experience working in agile delivery environments, with a Scrum background advantageous
• Good understanding of software integration patterns, including API design and messaging concepts
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across distributed teams
• Comfortable working remotely and taking ownership with a degree of autonomy
• Practical experience incorporating AI tools into day-to-day development workflows, including familiarity with AI-integrated coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code; we value engineers who embrace these tools as productivity multipliers and bring a pragmatic, open mindset to adopting new AI capabilities as they continue to evolve.
• Some familiarity with C++ is an advantage for this role
• Exposure to desktop application development is a plus; translation technology experience is not required but would be welcomed
