As a Planner, you will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating the overall construction schedule for utility-scale solar projects.

You will work directly under the Construction Manager, supporting all planning activities related to civil, mechanical, electrical, and commissioning works, ensuring project milestones are achieved on time and resources are efficiently allocated.

This is a key site-based role with strong involvement in scheduling, reporting, subcontractor coordination, and project controls.

Main Responsibilities

Planning & Scheduling

• Prepare, develop, and maintain the master construction schedule
• Create detailed short-term and long-term project plans (daily / weekly / monthly)
• Monitor critical path activities and identify schedule risks
• Support sequencing of works: Civil → Mechanical → DC → AC → MV → HV → Commissioning
• Coordinate construction activities with procurement and logistics schedules
• Track milestone achievement and contractual deadlines
• Prepare recovery plans when delays occur

Progress Monitoring & Reporting

• Monitor daily and weekly site progress against baseline schedule
• Collect progress data from Site Managers, Engineers, and subcontractors
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management
• Track installed quantities and completed works
• Identify bottlenecks, delays, and execution risks
• Support KPI monitoring and project performance analysis
• Maintain project dashboards and planning updates

Subcontractor Coordination

• Coordinate schedule alignment with subcontractors and suppliers
• Monitor subcontractor productivity and planned vs actual progress
• Ensure subcontractor activities follow approved execution sequences
• Support evaluation of subcontractor performance from a planning perspective
• Assist Construction Manager in prioritizing site activities

Project Controls Support

• Support budget-related planning and resource forecasting
• Monitor manpower, equipment, and material availability against schedule needs
• Assist in preparation of look-ahead plans and resource allocation
• Support claims preparation related to delays or variation orders
• Maintain proper planning records and documentation

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Coordinate closely with Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, QA/QC, HSE, and Procurement teams
• Ensure alignment between engineering deliverables and site execution plans
• Support commissioning and energization planning
• Assist final handover preparation (PAC / FAC)

Candidate Profile

Required Background

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in construction planning for industrial, infrastructure, or energy projects
• Previous experience in utility-scale solar projects is a strong advantage
• Strong knowledge of project scheduling methodologies and construction sequencing
• Good understanding of EPC project execution
• Fluent English (written and spoken)
• Strong computer skills (MS Office, especially Excel)

Nice to Have

• Experience with Primavera P6 or MS Project
• Previous experience in renewable energy projects
• Experience with progress measurement and project controls
• Familiarity with commissioning schedules and grid connection milestones
• Master’s Degree in Engineering or Project Management
