About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer with excellent German language skills to join our cross-functional product team. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards across our software solutions, contributing to test strategy, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires close collaboration with German-speaking stakeholders, so strong proficiency in German is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases (manual and automated).
• Lead and enhance the QA processes, ensuring high quality throughout the SDLC.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Developers, and Business Analysts to understand requirements (German & English).
• Identify, document, and track defects; drive resolution and follow-up.
• Build and maintain automated test frameworks for API, UI, and integration testing.
• Perform regression, functional, performance, and non-functional testing.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and release readiness assessments.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and support the continuous improvement of QA best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software testing or QA engineering.
• Strong proficiency in German (B2–C1) and English.
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, JUnit, TestNG).
• Hands-on experience with REST API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Strong analytical and debugging skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
• Knowledge of version control systems (Git).

Nice-to-Have

• Experience testing microservices or distributed systems.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• ISTQB certification.
