Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer located in Bucharest. The role involves developing, executing, and maintaining automated and manual test cases to ensure software quality. Responsibilities include identifying and analyzing software bugs, collaborating with development teams to address issues, and helping to optimize the testing framework for maximum effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain the test automation environment
• Automate test cases, maintain them and report results
• Perform debugging and Root Cause Analysis of failing test cases
• Develop/Customize/improve the test automation framework in order to be the best fit for the project
• Work with DevOps colleagues in order to include the automation tests in the CI/CD pipeline
• Log bugs coming from the failing automated test cases
• Provide technical guidance to colleagues and junior team members
• Collaborate with manual testers on tests that need to be automated 

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in automation of front-end/back-end tests
• Hands on experience with:
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and PyTest.
• Proven experience with Playwright or similar modern browser automation tools.
• Experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks.
• Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines, ideally GitLab CI.
• Practical experience working with containerized applications deployed on Kubernetes.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Knowledge of test automation concepts and approaches
• Proactive, able to quickly identify risk areas
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Team oriented
• Good command of English, both spoken and written
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
• Experience with performance and load testing using tools such as JMeter is a plus
