About Ipsos Askia product – NGIE:

Our goal is to make NGIE, our in-house platform, the primary survey data collection tool at Ipsos, replacing the current third-party solution. To achieve this, we are providing tools that collect information from respondents and address research objectives. We are expanding NGIE's capabilities in a scalable way to support business growth. Through daily collaboration and innovation, we steadily build confidence and fully unlock NGIE's potential to meet our clients' needs.

Role Summary:

The QA Automation Engineer ensures the quality and reliability of all Ipsos Askia products through strategic test planning, proactive automated testing, and continuous improvement. This is a core role in driving efficient quality assurance practices within an Agile and DevOps framework, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, to align testing priorities with overall business objectives to support the company’s long-term sustainability.

Core Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Product Owners and Development teams to understand requirements, define testing scope, and establish testing priorities.
• Develop and implement comprehensive test plans, designing and creating both manual and automated test cases and test suites for new functionalities and enhancements.
• Translate manual test scenarios into robust, maintainable automated scripts to maximize test coverage and reliability.
• Execute comprehensive testing (manual and automated) to validate feature completeness, stability, and overall quality across releases and interim builds.
• Detect, document, and track bugs thoroughly, providing clear steps to reproduce, observed vs. expected results, and relevant logs.
• Analyze test outcomes and clearly communicate findings to all relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure that all product changes and additions are functional, stable, and ready for production release.
• Continuously maintain, refine, and optimize existing test cases and automated test suites.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) to ensure quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with the team to suggest improvements, implement potential fixes, and promote best practices while staying up to date with emerging automated testing tools and technologies to enhance the company’s QA strategy and testing capabilities.

Requirements:

• Computer Science or equivalent degree
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in software quality assurance, ideally within a tech or SaaS environment
• Hands-on experience with modern software testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium, RestAssured, Cucumber, Postman
• Solid programming experience in languages such as Java, JavaScript or C# for test automation development
• Proficient in using Git for version control of test scripts and collaborating on code changes
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Proven experience working within Agile development methodologies
• Experience with JIRA or similar tools for issue tracking and managing day-to-day QA tasks
