What you'll doAs a Senior Technical Business Analyst at Lateral, you are the crucial bridge between business goals and technical execution. You will act as a change agent and the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for your assigned applications.
Here is what your day-to-day actually looks like:

• You will dig into every requested change to determine the most efficient technical resolution, effectively communicating that reality to the development team, management, and stakeholders.
• You will write functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria that leave zero ambiguity.
• You will collaborate directly with Solution Architects, Application Architects, and development teams to ensure your requirements are technically feasible and thoroughly understood before a single line of code is written.
• You will keep the momentum going by actively supporting backlog refinement, sprint planning, and providing ongoing clarification while development is in flight.
• You will partner closely with QA to guarantee that every requirement you write is highly testable and properly validated.
• You will conduct system integration and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). You will use your hands-on experience with SQL, APIs, Postman, and Datadog to validate outcomes.
• You will proactively identify the risks and downstream impacts related to system changes and technical integrations.
• You will develop advanced analysis artifacts, including detailed system interaction and data flow diagrams, to make complex architecture visually clear.
• You will create and maintain crystal-clear documentation for application processes and mappings, and use it to mentor, train, and support internal teams.
  

What we’re looking forWe need a senior operator who understands how to navigate complex technical landscapes and can lead by example.
You must bring:

• 7+ years of proven experience in Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, or highly related technical roles.
• A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, a related field, or equivalent real-world experience.
• Strong, practical experience dealing with complex distributed systems and intricate technical integrations.
• Proven experience leading or mentoring other analysts. You don't just do great work; you elevate the craft of the people around you.
