The CPT operates using cutting edge technologies and cost efficient ensuring also business perspective and technologies stacks.The Core Software Engineering Services (CSES) team is responsible for building and maintaining the tool stack in which our customers (colleagues across the whole company) perform daily business and monitoring the health and dependencies of the services.We believe that collaboration leads to the best ideas, and we rely heavily on team interaction. As a role based in Cluj-Napoca, this position will require 5 days in the office each week.ResponsibilitiesSupport CI/CD pipelines to automate and streamline the software delivery lifecycle (help assist product teams to build/maintain)Automate routine operational tasks and system maintenance to enhance reliability and consistencySupport installation, configuration, and upgrades of software engineering applications and environmentsAdminister and optimize Jenkins or other automation servers to ensure build and deployment stabilityEvaluate, integrate, and support new tools and technologies that improve engineering efficiency and resilienceImplement, maintain, and enhance monitoring and testing solutions to ensure application health and performancePerform technical root cause analysis, identify corrective actions, and prevent recurring issuesParticipate in capacity planning, backup management, and scaling strategies to ensure system reliabilityCollaborate in peer code reviews, offering feedback and recommendations for continuous improvementProvide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering knowledge growth across the teamEnsure high availability and reliability of services through proactive monitoring and automationContribute to process improvements by identifying automation opportunities and suggesting technical enhancementsWork collaboratively across geographically distributed teams to achieve performance and reliability goalsRequirementsMinimum of 4 years' experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or DevOps Engineer or Release EngineerStrong hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline tools (Jenkins and/or GitHub Action)Worked with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestrationProficiency in scripting with Linux Shell and/or Python for automationGood understanding of Linux and/or Windows Server system administrationUnderstanding of monitoring and alerting best practices, with experience using Zabbix, Grafana, Kibana or other monitoring toolsDeep understanding and experience with software engineering tools like: Gerrit, Git/GitHub, Jira, ConfluenceExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issuesFamiliarity with Agile methodologies and a collaborative mindsetWould be a plus: Hands-on experience with AnsibleFamiliarity with configuring monitoring platformsKnowledge of tools like Zuul, Azure DevOps, OpenstackBenefitsBenefits to enhance your experience: 24 days off each year plus extra vacation days based on years at Garmin and compensation for legal holidaysHealth package subscription and yearly budget for glassesMonthly budget for sports and wellbeing activitiesLocal and global career development programs (training, mentorship, technical and leadership development, and more)Access to e-learning platforms and support for technical conferences attendanceLoyalty bonus within the company, plus other special bonuses (for holidays and personal life events)Meal tickets.
