What you’ll be doing

As a Software Assets Management (SAM) Specialist, member of a team distributed in France & Romania, you will have the responsibilities:

• Manage the full software asset lifecycle, software demand and entitlement management, deployment and usage analysis, support optimization initiatives and renewal preparation
• Perform license position (ELP) calculations, contract and entitlement interpretation, compliance assessments and supporting remediation planning
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and support entities in achieving measurable financial benefits.
• Act as the primary contact for software vendors and internal stakeholders for assigned entities.
• Support audit defense activities at entity level, aligned with corporate governance.
• Propose, maintain, and evolve SLM procedures and work instructions
• Analyze data to draw conclusions, understand key issues, develop action plans, improvement axes, and levers for the upcoming year.

For these missions, you will work in coordination with the network of SAM correspondents in each of the Group’s entities, purchasing, software publishers, legal department.

What you’ll need to know/have

Experience:

• Proven experience on addressing software compliance, inventory, contract information, vendor contacts, and pricing.
• Proven knowledge of different software licensing models (perpetual, subscriptions, cloud) and licensing rules (per user, CPUs, virtualization...).
• Creating metrics and reporting for management requirements.
• Experience with Asset Management tools.

Hard Skills:

• Proficiency in managing complex vendor software contracts.
• Proficiency with licensing terminology and software entitlements.
• Experience in multidisciplinary and multicultural environments
• Fluent English (verbal and written) is a must and French is a nice to have

Soft Skills

• Self-starter and results driven.
• Initiative, proactivity, and anticipation
• Rigor and reliability
• Ability to manage several tasks in parallel.
• Ability to adapt to the context and multicultural environment.

Certifications: Relevant certifications such as ITIL, CSAM, IAITAM
