The Opportunity
UD/UCMDB software is a configuration management database for enterprise IT organizations to document and store the business service definitions and associated infrastructure relationship. Full-fledged Java application server, UD/UCMDB fulfills the need of the users to create a shared single version of truth to support business service management, IT service management, change management, and asset management initiatives. These initiatives help align IT efforts with business requirements and run IT operations more efficiently and effectively.
UCMDB Server is a backbone of the UD/UCMDB product, providing data acquisition, analysis, processing, reporting and storage. Data manipulation and transformation relies on complex algorithms and application logic, including several patented operations. Server backend also provides the means for interacting with product interfaces as well as the integrations with other applications.
Your Impact
As a Java Software Engineer at OpenText, you’ll be at the forefront of building our next-generation cloud-based functional testing solution. You’ll design and deliver high-quality features that help global enterprises test faster and smarter, leveraging cloud, AI, and automation technologies. Your contributions will directly shape the architecture, performance, and user experience of a platform relied upon by organizations worldwide.

What You Need To Succeed

• Experience & Knowledge:
  • 2+ years of professional experience in Java development.
  • Strong understanding of Java programming and object-oriented design.
  • Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and unit/end-to-end testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit).
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, or different testing approaches is a plus.
  • Adaptable and eager to learn new technologies quickly.
• Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and high attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
  • Motivated, proactive, and passionate about delivering quality software.
