Project 1:Software Engineer (Configuration Tools)

Project overview

We are looking for a Software Engineer (Configuration Tools) to join our Randstad Digital Romanian Team in a new challenging project in the automotive field.

In this role, you will contribute to the planning and development of features for both new and existing configuration tools. You may also be involved in creating more complex solutions tailored to customer needs. All development activities are carried out within the SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework), ensuring strong alignment, effective collaboration, and consistent value delivery.

Meet the team

In this role you will be part of the Automotive Embedded System Tools team, responsible for developing software tools meant to make configuration of drivers or other applications running on top of processors simple, intuitive, reliable, and fast.

Responsibilities

• Work on development of large and complex software projects
• Work in a multinational team spread across the globe
• Understand the Automotive market and how software products we develop are going to transform it
• Understand the software development processes and help the team define and align to them
• Interact with intern and external customers to help align the development charter to read needs

Requirements

• Minimum 3 year of experience in a similar position
• Relevant OOP experience, in one of the following languages: Java, C++, C#
• Embedded – C programming experience and in general good knowledge of embedded systems
• Basic AI knowledge
• Proficient with at least one scripting language
• Proven record of working in complex software projects
• Good collaboration skills and working in teams
• Fluency in English written and spoken

The following are pluses:

• Knowledge of Eclipse plugins development
• Tech lead experience for various projects
• Knowledge of various quality standards applied for SW development
• Experience with audits for SW projects
• Presentation skills

Project 2 Fullstack Software Engineer

Position overview

We are looking for a Fullstack Software Engineer to join our Randstad Digital Romania team in Bucharest for a specialized project. In this role, you will collaborate with the Linux BSP team to build, maintain, and improve the internal developer platform and the CI/CD infrastructure that delivers software for automotive processors.

Your main focus will be to develop and maintain an AWS serverless cloud backend and a React/TypeScript web dashboard, while contributing to CI/CD automation and Jenkins pipelines following automotive software development standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the cloud backend utilizing AWS serverless technologies, including Lambda, DynamoDB, and API Gateway, to power CI telemetry, dashboards, and resource management.
• Create the web dashboard using React and TypeScript to monitor CI, builds, and the hardware lab.
• Design and extend REST APIs and data models while improving the overall observability of the system.
• Contribute to CI/CD automation and Jenkins pipelines that build and test the Linux BSP.
• Maintain the availability of the CI/CD and cloud infrastructure by proactively identifying and fixing early warnings.
• Coordinate with software development, test, and IT infrastructure teams to meet platform and CI/CD KPIs.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in embedded systems.
• Solid React and TypeScript experience.
• Solid experience building cloud apps on AWS (Serverless: Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway).
• Good Python for backend services and automation.
• Core web/cloud networking fundamentals (HTTP/HTTPS, REST, TLS, authentication, SSH).
• Linux command-line proficiency (shell scripting and common CLI tools).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (ideally Jenkins pipeline-as-code).
• Source control with Git.
• Strong proficiency in English language (spoken and written).

Nice to have

• Infrastructure-as-Code tooling (Serverless Framework, CloudFormation, or Terraform).
• Identity & authentication integration (OAuth2, SAML, Azure AD, MSAL).
• Observability and BI/dashboarding (metrics, alerting, QuickSight).
• Automotive standards and processes (ASPICE, ISO 26262).
• Embedded Linux build systems (Yocto, Buildroot) or interaction with low-level software.
