Software Resident Engineer (onsite in Trnava, Slovakia)

Job Description

This is an Europe Onsite opportunity and as a Software Resident Engineer, you will act as the technical interface between the customer and the engineering team, being responsible for supporting projects on site at the customer locations as part of the development process (this includes resolving technical issues, assisting in the release processes and change management processes).

In addition, you will support preproduction and initial launches at Customer assembly plants as necessary in term of testing.

Responsibilities:

• Voice of the customer to Engineering.
• Technical support to customer engineering teams for development testing
• Project management of sample deliveries, ensuring customer needs are met
• Fleet support for delivered hardware / software
• Perform verification of the SW requirements – SW Test
• Provide technical support and feedback to test team members on SW defects found and any other SW issue
• Give support to the System Test Engineer in defining the system integration test specifications and executing them.
• Technical working with Customer stakeholders to understand their requirements, develop solutions and explain customer's technology.
• Communicating the customer needs back to Engineering teams located in Germany, Spain, USA.
• Supporting customer testing in lab / vehicles
• Supporting role out of new components and features
• Test the product at customer bench and in customer vehicles.
• Write detailed defect reports of any anomalies found to allow effective problem resolution.
• Act as a “first pass filter” to identify duplicate defects.
• Ensure reflash operation when required at customer plants

Skills:

• Knowledge of the Software Architectural Design procedures & techniques established in the organization and project (i.e. AUTOSAR)
• Knowledge of the software design tools used in the organization & project (i.e. Enterprise Architect)
• Knowledge of Configuration Management procedures & tools used in the organization & project (i.e. SVN)
• Knowledge of the Requirements management tools used in the organization &project (i.e. DOORS, Teamcenter)
• Knowledge of the change management tools used in the organization & project (i.e. JIRA)
• Knowledge of the problem resolution tools used in the organization & project (i.e. JIRA)
• Knowledge of CANoe environment
• Knowledge of Standard C & C++ design &Coding Rules
• Knowledge of modelling environments (i.e. FSM tool, Matlab, StateFlow, ASCET, etc)
• Knowledge of the Functional Safety procedures & techniques established in the organization and project.
• Knowledge of the FTA Method

Experience:

• Technical Degree, ideally in field of E/E
• Experience working with French OEMs, Stellantis tools (Trace32, CAN bus, Diagnostics, Flashing tools, DIANalyzer)
• Knowledge of Body control modules and vehicle systems and components.
• Experience with vehicle testing
• Languages: English
