Piping Design Solutions S.R.L. is looking for an experienced SolidWorks Design Engineer to join our engineering team.This role is focused on the design of pipe supports, structural support frames, brackets, baseplates and bespoke steelwork for industrial piping systems.We are looking for someone who can take engineering requirements and loads and develop practical, buildable support solutions through to detailed fabrication drawings.Key responsibilities:Design pipe supports, support frames, brackets, guides, anchors, baseplates and secondary steelworkProduce detailed 3D models in SolidWorksPrepare fabrication drawings, assemblies, weld details and bills of materialsDevelop practical support arrangements based on piping loads and project requirementsDesign welded and bolted steelwork connectionsReview and optimise existing support arrangementsWork closely with piping stress and engineering teamsSupport structural verification of frames and support steelwork where requiredEssential requirements:Minimum 5 years of professional SolidWorks experienceDemonstrable experience designing pipe supports and structural support framesStrong understanding of fabrication and steelwork detailingExperience with welded structures, baseplates, brackets and bolted connectionsAbility to produce clear manufacturing and fabrication drawingsGood understanding of mechanical and structural engineering principlesProficient in English, both written and spokenEngineering degree or equivalent technical backgroundDesirable experience:STAAD.ProGraitec Advance Design / Advance SteelStructural or construction design softwareFEA and steel connection designEurocodes / EN standardsIndustrial piping, energy, infrastructure or process projectsWorking arrangement:Remote / HybridCandidate should be able to work effectively within a collaborative engineering environment and attend meetings / coordination sessions as requiredIf you have strong SolidWorks experience and practical experience designing pipe supports and structural steelwork, we would be interested in hearing from you.Please send your CV/portfolio showing relevant SolidWorks and support-design experience.
