About Us

Photonics is a Bulgarian company specializing in the design, construction, and operation of digital planetariums and interactive science attractions.

Following the successful launch and operation of our planetarium in Sofia, Bulgaria, we are now expanding into Romania. We are opening our first Romanian location in Cluj-Napoca and are looking for an ambitious manager to lead this exciting new project.

This is a unique opportunity to build and grow a business from the very beginning while becoming an important part of an expanding international company.

About the Role

As Planetarium Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operation and development of our new facility in Cluj-Napoca.

This is much more than an operational role—we are looking for someone who thinks like a business owner, takes initiative, and enjoys building new opportunities.

You will lead a small team, develop partnerships with schools and organizations, ensure an exceptional visitor experience, and actively contribute to the commercial success of the planetarium.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the day-to-day operations of the planetarium.

- Lead, motivate and supervise the local team.

- Ensure excellent customer service and visitor satisfaction.

- Build relationships with schools, universities and educational institutions.

- Develop partnerships with local businesses and organizations.

- Organize special events, birthday parties and corporate visits.

- Coordinate local marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns.

- Monitor ticket sales, gift shop performance and operational KPIs.

- Prepare operational reports for company management.

- Maintain high operational standards across all aspects of the business.

- Has excellent organizational and leadership skills.

- Enjoys working with people and providing outstanding customer experiences.

- Is proactive, responsible and highly self-motivated.

- Thinks commercially and enjoys achieving measurable results.

- Is comfortable making decisions independently.

- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Speaks fluent Romanian and English (additional languages are an advantage).

- Has a valid driving licence (preferred).

Previous management experience is an advantage but is not essential. We are equally interested in ambitious professionals with strong leadership potential who are eager to grow with the company.
