Strategic commodity buyer mechanical - global position
We are seeking an experienced and high negotiation skilled Strategic - Sourcing to join our team. As a Mechanics Strategic-Sourcing, you will play a crucial role in identifying new suppliers, negotiating price and contracts with them.
Job Responsibilities

• Identify and research reliable suppliers for various mechanical parts
• Evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, risk and other key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Negotiate pricing and contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms
• Participate in supplier process audits together with Quality Department to ensure adherence to quality standards
• Assist in the development and testing of prototypes, providing feedback on mechanical design and performance
• Contribute to design for manufacturability (DFM) efforts to optimize part design for efficient and cost-effective production

• Maintain accurate records of parts, suppliers and quality control activities
  

Technical Support

• Provide technical support to other teams on mechanical parts and related issues
  

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities for cost reduction, quality improvement, and process optimization related to mechanical parts
  

Output

• Contributes to creating a solid base of mechanical suppliers, capable to serve the Cicor core markets – Industrial, Medical and Aerospace & Defense
• Supplier quality and delivery performance
• PPV savings & competitiveness
  

Education And Experience

• 5+ years in a similar position – Mechanics Strategic Sourcing
  

Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes

• Experience in the NPI process and familiarity with working with individual and international teams
• A solid network of mechanical suppliers, which allows a rapid introduction of new suppliers suitable for Cicor
  

Supplier Management: Sound strategic and operational sourcing experience as well as supplier development in a global supplier base;

• Demonstrated work experience on category management
  

Quality Control: Familiarity with quality control procedures and standards
