THE ROLE

Our Mission: To build the most dominant beauty brand on Amazon through better products, faster execution, and a winning team.

We're a mid-7 figure Amazon beauty brand specializing in chin masks and eye masks, scaling to 8 figures. To hit the next level, we need a supply chain built for scale, not survival. That means a diversified supplier base, optimized freight strategy, bulletproof inventory systems, and aggressive cost discipline. We're looking for a sharp operator who can build this from the ground up.

This is not a maintenance role. You will architect our supply chain for the next stage of growth.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

• Supplier negotiation and diversification: Source, qualify, and onboard backup suppliers in China. Renegotiate terms (pricing, MOQs, payment terms) with existing suppliers. Build leverage. Stop us from being taken advantage of.
• Shipping cost optimization: Audit and rebuild our freight strategy. Negotiate with freight forwarders. Optimize ocean vs air mix, container utilization (LCL to FCL), and routing. Cut our $/unit landed cost.
• Inventory system and FBA health: Build the forecasting and reorder system that ensures we never stock out again. Demand forecasting, safety stock logic, reorder points, escalation triggers. Manage FBA inventory health including IPI score, storage fees, aged inventory, stranded/suppressed inventory, and excess stock liquidation.
• Weekly leadership dashboard: Build and maintain the weekly supply chain dashboard showing in-stock status, PO status, inbound shipments, forecast risk, overstock risk, launch readiness, and decisions required from leadership.
• 3PL and freight coordination: Manage three U.S. 3PLs (including transitioning off one) and one Canada 3PL. Coordinate freight forwarders. Own compliance and customs.
• Supplier performance management: Build and maintain a supplier scorecard tracking on-time delivery, quality issues, MOQ adherence, communication, and cost competitiveness.
• New product sourcing: Find and qualify factories for new product launches. Deliver samples and quotes within 30 days of brief.
• Cross-functional coordination: Partner with our PPC team to align inventory with promotional pushes and Prime events. Partner with our designer on packaging timelines for launches. Coordinate with accounting on COGS, freight invoices, and inventory valuation.
• Team management: Manage and develop our long-tenured VA as your supply chain support. Delegate shipment creation, supplier outreach, and tactical execution. Hold her accountable. Build the workflow between you two.
• Documentation: Every supplier, freight forwarder, SOP, and reorder rule documented. If you got hit by a bus tomorrow, the next person could run the system.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

We measure outcomes, not effort. In your first 12 months, success looks like:

• In-stock rate of 98%+ across all SKUs. Zero stockouts on top sellers.
• 2+ qualified backup suppliers in place for every major SKU within 6 months.
• Blended COGS down 8 to 15% through negotiation, sourcing competition, and packaging optimization.
• Landed shipping cost down 15 to 25% per unit. Emergency air freight reduced by 80%+.
• Payment terms renegotiated on at least one major supplier (better deposit %, net terms, MOQ flexibility).
• Inventory management system built and operational by day 90. Fully documented SOP by day 180.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FORMust have

• 3+ years Amazon FBA supply chain or operations experience
• Deep China sourcing experience working factory-direct (not agent-dependent)
• Proven negotiation track record with documented wins (cost reductions, payment terms, MOQ flexibility)
• 2+ years managing at least one direct report
• Freight forwarder and 3PL coordination experience
• Experience building or owning an inventory management system (not just operating inside one someone else built)
• Strong understanding of FBA inventory health (IPI, storage fees, aged inventory, stranded inventory)
• Advanced spreadsheet proficiency (Excel or Google Sheets)
• Root-cause analysis and structured problem-solving
• Comfort working cross-functionally with marketing, design, and accounting
• Strong written English

Nice to have

• Experience traveling to China for supplier visits
• Mandarin (helpful, not required)
• Beauty or CPG experience
• Familiarity with Sellerboard, SoStocked, or Inventory Planner
• AWD or multi-channel fulfillment experience

AI PROFICIENCY IS NOT OPTIONAL

We are an AI-first company. Every team member uses AI daily. You should already be using Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT, or similar tools every single day for SOPs, data analysis, reporting, communications, and automations.

If you're not already doing this, this is not the right role for you. We will test your AI skills during the hiring process. 

LOGISTICS

• Location: Remote. Geography flexible, but strong overlap with China business hours is a plus.
• Hours: Full-time, ~40 hours/week. Strong preference for candidates based in Eastern Europe (UTC+2 to UTC+3) for natural overlap with both China (UTC+8) and the founder (Atlantic Standard Time, UTC-4). Expect a typical workday in the 9 AM to 6 PM local time range, with daily live touchpoints with Chinese suppliers in the morning and 7-10 hours of weekly sync with the founder in the morning. 
• Reports to: Founder/CEO
• Manages: 1 direct report (Virtual Assistant, supply chain support)
• Travel: 1 to 2 trips per year to China, more if critical issues require it (expenses covered)
• Probationary period: 90 days. Performance evaluated at 30, 60, and 90 days.

COMPENSATION

$3,500 to $4,000 USD/month base depending on experience. 

Performance bonus introduced at month 6 tied to scorecard outcomes (COGS reduction, in-stock rate, shipping cost reduction).
