Responsibilities:
Develops the organization's logistics strategy and coordinates its implementation;
Supervises the forecast of demand for services and products to meet the business needs and keeps a constant check on stock levels to maximize business efficiency;
Conducts research to identify the best products and suppliers in terms of value, delivery schedules and quality;
Assures the liaisons between suppliers, manufacturers, internal departments and customers;
Identifies potential suppliers, visiting existing suppliers and building good relationships with them;
Negotiates and agrees contracts and monitors their progress checking the quality of service provided;
Handles technical details relating to international transportation;
Evaluates the costs of transportation, services and inventory within any budget or distribution strategy.
