Your Key Responsibilities:

• Development of strategies, processes, and methods to enable Schaeffler’s supply chain emission reduction within the Purchasing organization, including the coordination with our divisional, regional, and functional sustainability network.
• Preparation of the semi-annual Scope 3.1 emission accounting for Schaeffler’s supply chain according to the Greenhouse Gas Protocol for internal as well as external reporting, including the annual audit by an external auditor.
• Close collaboration and coordination within our own department in Germany as well as in Iasi regarding the integration of CO2e measures and supplier PCFs (i.e., Product Carbon Footprint) into the Scope 3.1 accounting to ensure a holistic approach to emission reduction in Purchasing.
• Development, coordination, and implementation of a concept for collecting recycling information from our suppliers to improve the reportable key performance indicator 'share of secondary materials in the supply chain'.
• Proactive and independent networking and coordination with relevant internal stakeholders as well as our external accounting service provider.

Your Qualifications:

• University degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (master’s degree preferred) with a focus on Sustainability, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, or comparable specializations.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel incl. a preference for data analysis and strong affinity for numbers.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills alongside a goal-oriented work approach.
• Independent and proactive work style.
• Excellent written and spoken English skills.
• Independent work ethic and good organizational skills.
• Self-initiative and proactive approach.
• Ability to present results to larger groups.
