Introduction
The system administrator is responsible for the stable, secure and efficient operation of the IT systems in the application environment. The aim of the position is to ensure the smooth operation of the application landscape, to ensure system availability and to continuously improve IT security and system quality.
Tasks
System administration of the defined application(s)

• Monitoring and ensuring the operation of the application servers
• Close cooperation and interface function to: Database Team, Testing and Approval Team, Operations Manager (BV) , Infrastructure Team
  

Server and system administration

• Installation, configuration and maintenance of servers and operating systems
• Planning, coordinating and carrying out regular system updates and backups
• Installation and rollout of new versions on test systems
• Installation and rollout versions on production systems
• Installation and maintenance of software on test and production systems
• Ensure system stability and compliance with operational standards
  

User and Support Services

• Provision of 2nd level support for technical inquiries and faults in the area of defined applications
• Analysis and resolution of complex technical problems
• Support of departmental projects, especially in the field of mobility
• Creation, maintenance and updating of technical documentation
• Temporary takeover and support of smaller applications
• Participation in IT projects for the introduction of new technologies and systems
• Implementation of technical adjustments and measures resulting from annual penetration tests
• Support in the development and implementation of automation solutions in the team
• Ensuring the exchange of information and transparency about the ongoing activities of other system administrators in the application environment
  

This position makes a significant contribution to the stability, security and further development of the application and the underlying IT infrastructure and supports the operation of business-critical applications through professional system administration.
