Your responsibilities:

• Administer and operate the SAN infrastructure, with focus on Brocade and Cisco SAN Directors.
• Monitor performance and availability to ensure a stable, high-performing SAN environment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software incidents within the SAN ecosystem.
• Plan and execute maintenance activities, including firmware upgrades, patches, and system updates.
• Perform capacity planning, storage provisioning (LUN allocation, multipathing), and continuous infrastructure optimization.
• Collaborate with external service providers (e.g., IBM) and maintain accurate documentation of the SAN architecture and changes. 

Your qualifications:

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a comparable qualification.
• Hands-on experience with Brocade and Cisco SAN Directors.
• Strong knowledge of SAN monitoring, performance optimization, and troubleshooting (hardware & software).
• Good understanding of SAN protocols (Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NVMe).
• Experience with storage technologies, including LUN provisioning, multipathing, and backup & recovery solutions.
• Experience working with external service providers and a structured, solution-oriented working style with solid documentation skills.
• Very good written and spoken communication skills in both German and English.
