In this role, you will define solution direction, architecture guardrails, and implementation roadmaps for Active Workspace while promoting scalable designs and standard Teamcenter capabilitiesProject ContextThe role focuses on Active Workspace solution architecture and planning within a complex PLM environment. You will translate business needs, user journeys, and platform strategy into practical AWC solution designs, supporting the transition from Teamcenter Rich Client or legacy client-based solutions to modern web-based user experiences.How You Will Make An ImpactDefine the Active Workspace target architecture, roadmap, scope, dependencies, and implementation approach. Translate business requirements, UX needs, and Rich Client fit-gap outcomes into end-to-end AWC solution designs. Set architecture guardrails for AWC configuration and customization, including commands, stylesheets, preferences, workflows, services, data model changes, and integrations. Collaborate with business architecture, enterprise architecture, data, integration, security, product, and development teams. Drive simplification and standardization by using standard Teamcenter capabilities wherever possible. Review solution designs for usability, performance, security, scalability, upgradeability, and long-term maintainability. Required QualificationWhat you need to succeedProven experience as a Solution Architect, PLM Architect, Teamcenter Architect, or senior Teamcenter consultant/developer. Strong experience with Siemens Teamcenter and Teamcenter Active Workspace in engineering or manufacturing environments. Hands-on knowledge of Active Workspace configuration and customization, including commands, stylesheets, preferences, layouts, HTML views, or JSON view models. Experience with Teamcenter BMIDE, data model design, workflow customization, services, and integration patterns. Good understanding of Teamcenter processes and PLM ways of working to support robust solution design decisions. Experience working in Agile delivery with product owners, UX specialists, architects, developers, analysts, and business stakeholders. Strong English communication skills and ability to create clear architecture documentation, decision records, roadmaps, estimates, and implementation guidance.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting transformation from Teamcenter Rich Client or legacy client-based solutions to Active Workspace. Knowledge of ITK, SOA services, REST services, custom services, web services, or T4EA infrastructure. Experience working with security, performance, scalability, data, or integration architecture topics. Experience in large-scale PLM transformation programs within engineering or manufacturing environments. Dutch language skills. Soft SkillsStrong architecture thinking with the ability to balance business value, user experience, technical feasibility, and maintainability. Pragmatic mindset with the confidence to challenge unnecessary customization while respecting valid business needs. Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills.
