Overview

The App Assure team is an integral part of the Security Engineering division. We work closely with customers and technology partners from around the world to drive product integration, address app compatibility issues, and shape the future of Microsoft Security.

As a team member, you will be responsible for understanding complex real-world scenarios, gathering feedback from customers and technology partners, providing valuable insights to the product development cycle, and helping technology partners to integrate their products with Microsoft Security solutions. Joining our exciting and diverse group will allow you to help technology partners build their solutions with the Microsoft Security team, enabling customers to detect and mitigate risks faster.

Our technology partners play a critical role in driving the usage of our services and building solutions ranging from enterprise-scale applications and services to niche departmental business process apps. As such, it is extremely important to ensure that our partners have the technical skills necessary to build and sustain a vibrant security business. Evangelizing our partners' needs throughout our engineering organization as part of the engineering lifecycle is critical to our long-term business growth and sustainability.

We partner with them to fix application compatibility issues with the latest versions of Microsoft products, such as Windows, Windows on Arm, M365 Apps, Edge, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD, Windows 365 Cloud PC, and Surface), M365 Copilot.

Cloud technologies are constantly evolving, and we are seeking active learners who can collaborate effectively across a diverse and global team of stakeholders. The ability to navigate ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced environment is essential to success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Manage technical relationships between the Microsoft Security team and key strategic ISVs (independent software vendor).
• Drive any co-engineering initiatives between Microsoft Security and ISVs.
• Partnering with CSS and product teams to remove technical roadblocks and discuss product roadmaps with the ISVs’ engineering teams; channel relevant product feedback to the feature teams to help with prioritization.
• Help customers and ISV’s (independent software vendors) as well as strategic partners fix application compatibility issues with the latest versions of our Microsoft products, such as Windows, Windows on Arm, M365 Apps, Edge, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD, Windows 365 Cloud PC, and Surface), M365 Copilot.
• Represent the App Assure team in engineering initiatives and feature previews to drive key business outcomes and bring feedback from the breadth of our audiences.
• Track and improve Partner satisfaction with our platform, and regular report outs on impact and opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ability to ramp to L100+ on Microsoft Security technology.
• Knowledge on Microsoft products, such as Windows, Windows on Arm, M365 Apps, Edge, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD, Windows 365 Cloud PC, and Surface), M365 Copilot
• Direct experience working with Microsoft Partners is highly desired.
• Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced environment where new challenges exist around every corner.
• Prioritization, time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to take on complex systems and processes and drive simplification and improvements.
• Self-starter, who can deal with ambiguity, maintains focus, drives clarity, and provides innovative solutions.
• Minimum three years of work experience in the computer software industry; with a focus in security, cloud, and/or security solutions is preferred.

• Desire and eagerness to help customers successfully deploy our technologies.
• Ability to take on and streamline complex orchestrations and deal with ambiguity.
• Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced environment where new challenges exist around every corner.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering computer science or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
