General information:

To support the journey of Schaeffler Technologies to become a digital company, we in Operations Digitalization and IT are supporting our business to optimize the value chain and deliver new innovative solutions to our production plants and customers around the world. You will work in a global team and develop and support our manufacturing platforms and applications together with our regional, central and divisional stakeholders as well as with our plants.
You will have the opportunity to lead and shape innovative services and projects, driving successful worldwide rollouts that enhance our global manufacturing capabilities. You will lead technical decisions within the platform building blocks, coordinate with key users and external support teams, and ensure seamless integration and functionality.

Key Responsabilities:

• Ability to work in a dynamic, global collaborative environment, foster teamwork, and cross-functional partnerships.
• Take responsibility to create the service lifecycle roadmap so that it aligns with the vision created by the Business Owners.
• Project management responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage end-to-end project lifecycles.
  • Develop detailed project plans, set timelines, allocate resources, and track progress.
  • Coordinate cross-functional project teams and communicate project status to stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
• Product Ownership:
  • Shape the product vision and define product features in alignment with business goals.
  • Gather and prioritize requirements from various stakeholders, representing the interests of the market, customers, and end users.
  • Collaborate with the development team to agree on sprint goals and deliverables (Sprint Planning).
• Technical Responsibilities
  • Provide architectural and technical consultancy in designing, defining, and evolving the platform.
  • Guide the design, definition, and evolution of the platform to meet business needs and technological advancements.
  • Ensure the product architecture is suitable for fulfilling both functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Hands-on development of solutions, primarily in cloud environments such as Azure or AWS.
  • Maintain and optimize cloud infrastructure using frameworks such as AWS CDK and Terraform.
  • Utilize container technologies, including Docker, and manage Linux-based environments.
  • Review security risks and demands, implementing appropriate solutions.
  • Ensure seamless integration and functionality of manufacturing platforms and applications.
  • Oversee regular communication for service launches and maintenance windows, coordinating with key users and support teams.
    

Your qualifications:

• Academic Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience;
• Fluent English is mandatory;
• Strong analytical and communication skills and being able to drive results;
• Proven experience leading IT/digitalization projects with strong project management skills (planning, risk mitigation, stakeholder management);
• You have experience in agile projects and have service responsibility that made you earn concrete skills for this role;
• You are experienced with best practice architecture and services around AWS (Amazon Web Services) and data engineering as well as Azure;
• You have basic experience with cloud infrastructure frameworks (AWS CDK);
• You have basic experience in Linux and Docker, Git, Kubernetes, Terraform;
• You understand the impact of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence;
• Preferred: Programming skills: Python, Go and SQL.
