You will be hands-on with technical delivery teams, working closely with engineers, architects, and account managers to successfully deliver Microsoft-focused infrastructure and cloud projects. Your deep understanding of Microsoft technologies will allow you to translate technical requirements into clear project plans, manage risks effectively, and communicate confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-end project management of technical projects, including Azure migrations, Microsoft 365 deployments, Intune & MDM rollouts, Entra ID (Azure AD) implementations, networking upgrades, server infrastructure projects, new customer onboarding and hybrid cloud transformations.
• Develop detailed project plans, statements of work (SOWs), resource plans, budgets, and timelines.
• Manage project scope, risks, issues, and dependencies while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, providing clear and regular updates on progress, risks, and milestones.
• Work closely with technical teams (Cloud Engineers, Network Engineers, Security Specialists) to ensure accurate scoping, realistic timelines, and successful delivery.
• Facilitate workshops, technical discussions, and client meetings to gather requirements and align expectations.
• Ensure all projects follow best practices, MSP processes, and relevant compliance standards (e.g. Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001, GDPR).
• Manage project finances, including cost tracking, change control, and profitability.
• Conduct post-project reviews, lessons learned, and handover to the managed service / support teams.

Qualifications

• Strong technical background – you must have previously worked in a technical role (e.g. Engineer, Consultant, or Architect) within IT infrastructure, cloud, or Microsoft technologies before moving into project management.
• Proven experience successfully managing technical projects in an MSP, systems integrator, or similar environment.
• 100% requirement: Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience managing complex technical projects involving Microsoft technologies.
• Solid experience in driving WiP.
• Deep knowledge and practical understanding of:

1.Microsoft Azure (migrations, IaaS, PaaS)

2.Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)

3.Microsoft Intune & MDM solutions

4.Microsoft 365 deployments and migrations

5.Windows Server environments and server infrastructure projects

6.Networking (firewalls, switches, VPNs, SDWAN)

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills – able to engage effectively with C level clients as well as senior engineers.
• Ability to understand technical challenges quickly and challenge/advise technical teams when required.
• Strong commercial awareness and experience managing project budgets and margins.

Required Skills

• Previous experience working in an MSP or IT services provider environment.
• Certifications such as:

1.PRINCE2 Practitioner / PMP

2.Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ900) or higher

3.Microsoft 365 / Intune related certifications

• Experience with project management tools (e.g. Microsoft Project, HaloPSA, IT Glue, Ninja RMM, or similar tools).
• Knowledge of modern delivery approaches including Agile project management for technical implementations.
