Join Finastra’s Engineering Support team and act as the key interface between clients and our R&D organisation.
This is a technical role focused on troubleshooting, code-level analysis, and ensuring timely resolution of complex issues—not a standard customer support position.
Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve technical issues raised by clients, replicating scenarios in Finastra environments.
- Perform root cause analysis and provide solutions or detailed reports to R&D.
- Communicate progress clearly to clients and participate in WebEx or phone sessions to accelerate issue resolution.
- Validate fixes and occasionally test beta deliveries before release.
- Write simple scripts and assist with customisations (not core development).
- Travel onsite when necessary for critical case resolution.
- Follow best practices for case management and propose process improvements.
Required Skills & Experience
- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business IT, or related field.
- Strong C/C++ knowledge (including debugging and tools like Visual Studio, Solaris Studio, Eclipse).
- Familiarity with SQL, Java, or C#.
- Solid Windows expertise and intermediate Linux skills.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and customer focus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable with the 2 PM – 11 PM shift.
