For a leading brewing company operating a high-volume production facility in Buzau, Adecco is recruiting an Automation Technician for the Brewing Department. In this role, you will ensure the efficient and safe operation of automated systems across the production lines through preventive and corrective maintenance, fault diagnosis, and technical optimization activities. You will work closely with process engineers, maintenance teams, and production operators to minimize downtime and improve operational performance. The position involves working with PLC-based systems, industrial communications, and field instrumentation, as well as participation in commissioning of new or modernized equipment. The role is suitable both for experienced technicians and junior engineers with a strong theoretical background in automation who are motivated to develop in a complex industrial environment.

• Completed technical education at high school level in electrical or automation profile, or higher technical engineering studies at junior level in a relevant field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in maintenance of industrial automated systems, preferably 3–4 years in electrical or automation roles for technician profiles.
• Junior engineer profiles are considered when they have a strong theoretical foundation in automation and some relevant practical exposure to industrial environments.
• Basic knowledge of PLC programming on platforms such as Siemens, Allen Bradley, and Schneider to support troubleshooting and minor logic-related activities.
• Previous experience working with integrated or complete industrial systems is considered an advantage during the selection process for this position.
• Experience using SAP for maintenance activities or production-related data entry is considered a significant advantage for this role.
• Basic user skills in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Outlook, Excel, and Word, for reporting, communication, and documentation tasks.
• Intermediate English language level enabling understanding of technical documentation and effective communication with colleagues or partners when required.
• ANRE authorization or eligibility to obtain ANRE authorization according to applicable regulatory requirements for electrical work in industrial facilities.
• Availability to work in three shifts and a continuous shift schedule following the specific rotation pattern used in the plant.
• Willingness to work in the defined shift system of two days on first shift, two days on second shift, and three days on third shift with two consecutive days off and approximately one free weekend per month.
• Openness to work or relocate to the Buzau area, with candidates from Brasov, Galati, Braila, and nearby regions particularly encouraged to apply.
• No prior experience in FMCG is required, but understanding of industrial processes and equipment operation is expected for effective performance.
• Strong collaboration skills for working closely with operators, engineers, and other teams during maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvement activities.
• Ability to identify and diagnose errors, escalate issues outside personal scope, and propose technical improvements to increase equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automated equipment across the brewing production area according to established maintenance plans and procedures.
• Diagnose electrical and automation malfunctions using measurement instruments, diagnostic tools, and technical documentation to restore equipment functionality.
• Read and interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics to identify failures and implement technically correct and safe repairs on production systems.
• Respond quickly to unplanned equipment stoppages, perform safe interventions, and restart the production process while minimizing downtime.
• Check and adjust operating parameters of process equipment and instrumentation to maintain stable performance and meet process requirements.
• Provide technical support for analyzing PLC control logic on Siemens, Allen Bradley, and Schneider platforms when process or equipment issues occur.
• Use applications such as TIA Portal and Step7 to analyze control programs, identify root causes in automation systems, and support troubleshooting.
• Monitor automation systems and industrial communications to verify correct functioning, signal integrity, and reliable data exchange during daily operation.
• Participate in configuration and calibration of field instrumentation, including sensors and actuators, to ensure accurate measurement and control of process variables.
• Analyze causes of equipment downtime or failures, propose technical improvement actions, and collaborate with process engineers and maintenance teams on implementation.
• Take part in installation and commissioning of new or modernized equipment, ensuring correct integration with existing automated systems and control logic.
• Provide technical support to operators and production teams, including direct interventions or escalation when issues fall outside your responsibility area.
• Record maintenance interventions and system modifications in internal systems such as SAP while documenting defects found and solutions applied in a clear manner.
• Inform the direct manager or responsible engineer about any deviation from normal equipment operation and propose corrective actions when relevant.
• Apply health and safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout, use appropriate personal protective equipment, and comply with food safety and quality standards in production areas.
