Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Tester with 6–8 years of hands‑on testing experience to validate and ensure quality of Retail IT applications in a development‑focused environment.

The role involves end‑to‑end functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, and close collaboration with development and business teams to deliver stable, high‑quality retail systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Design & Execution
• Analyze business and technical requirements to create test scenarios and test cases.
• Execute:
• Functional Testing
• System Testing
• Integration Testing
• Regression Testing
• Ensure comprehensive test coverage for assigned retail application modules.
• Retail IT Application Testing
• Test Retail IT systems, including:
• E‑commerce platforms
• Inventory and supply‑chain modules
• Pricing, promotions, and discounts
• Order processing, payments, and billing
• Backend integrations (ERP / OMS / POS)
• Validate end‑to‑end retail business flows such as order‑to‑cash, replenishment, and returns.

Defect Management & Quality Assurance

• Log, track, and manage defects using tools like JIRA / ALM / Azure DevOps.
• Participate in defect triage meetings and work closely with developers for resolution.
• Perform retesting and regression testing to ensure defect fixes are stable.
• Contribute to quality metrics and release readiness reports.

Collaboration & Support

• Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners.
• Support UAT activities and business validations.
• Participate in agile ceremonies (stand‑ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives).
• Mentor junior testers and share best testing practices.

Required Skills & Experience

Core Testing Skills

6–8 years of experience in software testing / QA

Strong hands‑on experience in:

Test case design and execution

Defect management and reporting

Testing in development‑led (Agile / Hybrid) environments

Retail IT Domain Knowledge

Proven experience in the Retail IT domain

Strong understanding of:

E‑commerce and omnichannel retail flows

Inventory, pricing, promotions, and payments

Order management, fulfillment, and returns

Tools & Methodologies

Experience with test and defect management tools (JIRA, Zephyr, ALM, TestRail, etc.)

Working knowledge of Agile / Scrum methodologies

Awareness of automation testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines (hands‑on automation is a plus)

Good to Have

Experience with automation testing (Selenium, Cypress, etc.)

Exposure to API and integration testing

Experience testing cloud‑based retail platforms

ISTQB or equivalent certification

Soft Skills & Competencies

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills

High attention to detail and quality mindset

Effective communication with technical and business stakeholders

Ability to work independently on complex modules

Experience supporting business‑critical retail applications
