We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Transport Planner who thrives in dynamic and high-paced environments. This is a perfect opportunity for someone eager to optimize transport routes, improve fleet management efficiency, and ensure smooth communication across teams.
You will:

• Optimize transport planning by combining transport orders into efficient trips, ensuring the right trucks (own or subcontractors) are allocated for maximum productivity
• Act as the communication bridge between dispatchers, clients, and depots to resolve any operational issues quickly
• Plan and schedule transport routes, ensuring the best possible conditions for each trip, while respecting legal regulations
• Manage transport orders in the internal Transport Management System (TMS), confirming and processing all relevant details
• Monitor daily operations to ensure all planned trips are executed as scheduled and update TMS accordingly (e.g., cancelled or additional trips).
• Fill in planning gaps by incorporating additional activities like container trucking, trailer washing, or maintenance (in consultation with Venlo office).
• Supervise the dispatch team, ensuring effective communication and coordination to optimize the use of the company fleet and subcontractors.

We ask:

• A proactive and solution-oriented personality who excels in a high-paced, dynamic work environment
• Advanced English skills and proficiency with MS Office Suite
• Fast learning abilities, with flexibility to acquire new skills and knowledge
• Experience with transport planning or logistics management is a plus, but not mandatory
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work efficiently with various departments and stakeholders
• Knowledge of transport management software or systems (TMS) is an advantage.
